In a rare family sighting, Sarah Michelle Gellar and husband Freddie Prinze, Jr. were spotted with their adorable 2 1/2-year-old daughter Charlotte ‘Charlie’ Grace at the Los Angeles Zoo last week (May 10). Sarah Michelle Gellar dressed her blooming baby bump in a casual gray T-shirt, paired with skinny jeans and flats.
The family-of-three were joined by friends as they visited The Lair which inhabits a host of small animals. The group then took a ride on an extended golf cart before heading home.

Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze, Jr. are expanding their family! The Ringer actress is pregnant with her second child, Us Weekly can exclusively confirm. “She and Freddie are thrilled,” a friend of the pair says. “They’re amazing parents.”
The couple met while filming the 1997 horror film I Know What You Did Last Summer and began dating three years later. They tied the knot in Mexico on September 1, 2002, and welcomed daughter Charlotte Grace in September 2009.
Gellar, 35, recently told Us that Prinze, 36, had been enjoying his one-on-one time with Charlotte as she filmed the first season of The CW’s Ringer. “He loves it. We fight over who gets to stay home,” Gellar said of her stay-at-home husband. “You’d think it would be the opposite, that the parents would be like, ‘No, I’ll go to work!’ but he’s like, ‘You stayed home for two years! It’s my turn!’”
“He and Charlotte have too much fun,” Gellar added. “I’m jealous!”Family comes first for the couple, who both grew up in the spotlight. “They still have date nights all the time and have a normal life,” an insider tells Us. “They both came of age in Hollywood and love working, but their home life is more important to them.”

Early on April 14, 2012 we (I, Hannah) decided to do something for Sarah for her birthday. Since the real Sarah doesn’t have Facebook or Twitter there is pretty much no way to reach her. Life has settled down considerably for the O.G. vampire slayer over the past two years , but on camera she continues down a path of deceit and double-crossing, most recently in her new CW series, Ringer. And no matter how domesticated things get for the Golden Globe-nominated actor, she’ll always be our favorite ass-kicking, smack-talking, stake-wielding sweetheart . Period.
Leaning against the hood of a parked 1963 Camaro in front of a bedraggled motel on Sunset Boulevard, Sarah Michelle Gellar shakes the can of beer she’s been holding, releasing an explosive spray of suds that form foamy puddles on the sidewalk beneath her high-rise heels. She giggles, obviously enjoying her brief moment of rebellion, even if it is for the sake of the accompanying photos. All legs in a short skirt, she mock-defiantly purses her glossy lips, channeling Alabama Whitman, the feisty call girl brought to life by Patricia Arquette in the 1993 crime caper, True Romance. Off camera, the 34-year-old actor no longer indulges in such childish defiance; her alcohol consumption rarely exceeds a recreational glass of wine.
A few hours later, Gellar, who currently stars as a drug addicted ex-stripper hiding from the mob (by impersonating her twin sister) on the CW’s hit series Ringer, has changed back into her everyday clothes: jeans and an AlexanderMcQueen silk scarf. “What did you do to yourself?” she asks, the register of her voice rising to a maternal squeal as she gestures toward a nasty red wound on my forearm. As the star of Ringer, Sarah Michelle Gellar‘s workday often involves long hours on the set, but don’t bother explaining that to her daughter Charlotte Grace, who thinks mom’s career is far more glamorous.
“She totally knows what my job is. My job is to get my hair and makeup done,” the actress tells PEOPLE of her 2-year-old, who frequently visits her while she films the show. “[She thinks my job is] to go in the hair and makeup trailer.”
While the little one is not allowed to watch scenes from the decidedly adult drama, Charlotte has found a home base on set, often joining costar Ioan Gruffudd‘s daughter Ella on playdates. “Pottery Barn actually came to our set and did a playroom for all of the kids,” says Gellar, 34. “We have a place where they can come and be a part of it, so [the parents are] not missing out.”
Her fondness for the brand is also what led the actress to partner with them for an Operation Shower event on Wednesday in L.A. The baby shower, which was sponsored by Carousel Designs, provided 40 military spouses and moms-to-be with the necessary products expectant mothers need.
